Do I have to purchase Source Guardian™?

No. You simply have to install the loaders to enable you to run protected files encoded using Source Guardian. The loaders must support the current encrypted version of Maian Support. The current encrypted version is v8.2

How do I get Source Guardian™ encrypted files to run on my server?

Please see the Source Guardian website or download this test script.

Source Guardian loaders are installed, but script header is broken. Why?

The test script may report Source Guardian loaders are installed, however when you run the script you get the following:

"Fatal error: SourceGuardian Loader - script header is broken [10] in /home/xxxx/public_html/install/index.php on line 27"

This error appears when the loaders you have installed are NOT for the version specified in the script. The current loaders required are v8.2.

What happens if a future version has a different encryption version?

Nothing at all. If your current 'licence.lic' file doesn`t work, simply re-login to the Maian Script World Licence Centre and re-generate your licence for the current version.

Will the system work with PHP6?

Sorry, not at this moment in time. Source Guardian only supports PHP4 => PHP5.3.* at the moment. As soon as the encoder supports PHP6, the system will be updated.

Does the free version expire?

No, the free version is not time restricted. It will run forever.

Are there any annoying nag screens or popups in the free version?

How much do I pay for upgrades?

Nothing at all. All the future upgrades are free, regardless of versions or features. You do not have to pay again if a new major version is released, unlike many other systems.

Can I upgrade from a previous version older than v2.0?

No, this option isn`t available, sorry.

Can I upgrade from TicketDesk Pro to Maian Support v2.0?

No, this option isn`t available, sorry.

Can you install Maian Support for me?

Yes, providing your server has support for Source Guardian v8.2 encrypted files. See this page for the installation service.

Can I resell Maian Support?

There are no sole resell rights for Maian Support. The Developers Licence enables you to re-brand and offer the software as your own as an installed service, but the rights remain the property of David Bennett & Maian Script World.

In the free version the copyright for the front end appears at the top. Is it always at the top?

No. Only in the free version. When you purchase a licence, your own copyright information will appear at the bottom as normal. View example screenshot.
